In the refrain she repeated the words " Ella" and "Umbrella". The second devise is sibilance. She uses the -s sounds in  the line, "Because when t
he sun shines, we'll shine." The third devise is personification. She uses personification in the line," when the world has deal its cards."
In this song I think that she was trying to express the lesson that you should always be there for someone who needs you. She is saying that if it is raining outside you can stand under my umbrella, ella , ella, ay, ay. She is trying to express this lesson through this song and lyrics.
