Big Idea

There are two main ideas that I got fro reading this play. The first main idea is guilt. Guilt is portrayed throughout the book especially through Lady Macbeth. One example of that is her sleepwalking disorder. This is caused by her thoughts of when she was an accomplice in the killing of Duncan. She also continues to wash her hands because of the thought of Duncan's blood being on her hands.
The second main idea is the quest for power. This idea is portrayed through the character Macbeth. He shows us that in order for him to become king he will do anything. Even if it means killing someone or lying he will never stop trying to become the king.

Quote

"Fair is foul and foul is fair"This quote is a quote that contradicts itself. It is very confusing because it is saying the things is the opposite of itself. It is saying what is good appears bad and what is bad appears good.  This quote is important to the story because of what it foreshadows.

This quote is foreshadowing the characters in the play. It is foreshadowing that the characters that seem to be good at the beginning will later become wicked and harmful. An example of this is Macbeth because of all the people he kills in order to become king.

Spring Break

My spring break was full of fun times of baseball and the beach. The beginning of my spring break was going to my family's condo in Destin, Florida. In Destin, we fished in a cobia fishing tournament. This tournament was for the wounded warrior project. Even though we did not catch any cobia we met some awesome wounded soldiers and really got to know their stories.
The second part of my spring break was full of baseball practices and games. The highlight of the baseball part of my break was that we beat DUNHAM!! Despite losing to them one time that week, we won the second game 6-5. My break was full of many exciting events that were very fun and action- packed.

Quotes

"If something is destined to happen, it will happen without your interference."
This quote I agree but I also disagree with this statement. I agree because God has a plan for all of our lives. I disagree because in order for God's plan to be fulfilled you must work your hardest and persevere to achieve your ultimate life goal.

"If you are in a position of power, you are happy."
I disagree with this statement because power comes with a lot of stress. Everyone who you have power above is looking up to you because of this ultimate status. Everyone longs for this achievement but when they have reached it they sometimes find it harsh and full of bad things.

Poem- Thanksgiving

I am thankful for the trees
that provide shelter for those big and small.
I am thankful for the seas
that provide food for us all.

I am thankful for the air
that sustains life.
I am thankful for prayer
in times of strife.

I am thankful for loved ones
with roots so deep.
I am thankful for friends
that I work hard to keep.

In this world today
so filled with confusion.
One must constantly search
for the perfect solution.

Umbrella

This is a song sang by Rihanna and Jay-Z. This song uses many different poetic devises that help to enhance the song as a whole . The first devise is repetition. In the refrain she repeated the words " Ella" and "Umbrella". The second devise is sibilance. She uses the -s sounds in  the line, "Because when t
he sun shines, we'll shine." The third devise is personification. She uses personification in the line," when the world has deal its cards."
In this song I think that she was trying to express the lesson that you should always be there for someone who needs you. She is saying that if it is raining outside you can stand under my umbrella, ella , ella, ay, ay. She is trying to express this lesson through this song and lyrics.

Research Paper

As I am writing my rough draft I have had some struggles and parts that I am very confident in. The thing that I feel confident with are my sources that relate perfectly to my thesis. The thing that I am concerned about is my conclusion and restating my thesis in different words.
My rough draft is going fine but there is one thing that I would like help with. That would be to help with my conclusion and restating my thesis. If someone would give me feedback on my rough draft when they read I would want them to express to me if I had enough supporting evidence for each of my topics relating to my thesis.

Snow Day

My snow day in my neighborhood was not really a snow day. It was more of an ICE DAY. My day  was full of a lot of homework, hanging out with friends in my neighborhood, and watching movies. I did a LOT of homework during the snow days. But it helped me to get caught up more in some of the classes that I was kind of behind on.
Now the fun part. A friend of mine and I went into some woods behind my house and we shot our pellet guns. After, we went into the woods we came back and watched two movies. The movies were called Captain Phillips and White House Down. They are both very action packed movies with great plots. Even though it really wasn't a snow day, I still found a way to have fun in my neighborhood.

Research Project: Frederick Douglass

I decided to chose the topic of Frederick Douglass because I have always been interested in the movement to abolish slavery and the Civil War. I have learned the different techniques of how Frederick Douglass used to convince the people of the North to help with the abolishment of slavery in the U.S. My thesis would be like During the period of the abolishment of slavery, Frederick Douglass
tried in many different ways to help convince northern people to help with his efforts of the abolishment if slavery.
My topic is based on the different information that Frederick Douglass used to help convince the people of the North help with the abolishment of slavery. My topics of the information that he used: 1.Are to help convince those in governmental spots. 2. The effect of the southern delegates towards the abolishments of slavery. 3. Expressing to others about the treatment of slaves in the South. 4. Telling the people about the equality of all people in the South. 5. Expressing to the slaves about how they should act so they might be treated equally.

NHD

For the National History Day Project, I chose the topic of Fredrick Douglass and his rights and responsibilities of his actions to abolish slavery. This is an important topic because it can express the struggles of slavery during that time along with his specific actions to abolish slavery.
This week my to-do list is to get my annotated bibliography and some notecards for some of my specific sources related to Fredrick Douglass. For the annotated bibliography I want to find some secondary sources to add to my bibliography because I need a diversity of sources for my bibliography.

Me as Ralph

I just walked off the plane that crashed into a forrest on a piece of land that seems to be deserted and surrounded by water. I go to the ocean front and for as long as I can see I do not see any other land over the horizon. When I turn around I see a huge scar in the forest where the plane smashed through.
Later I meet a fat boy named Piggy and together we found a conch. I blew the conch and about 12 boys appeared from the brush and we gathered to discuss the island and ways of survival. Then a boy mentioned something about a leader and I was chosen leader. But from the start of the picking of the leader a boy named Jack was jealous of the position and really wanted. But we have no adults and no rules so what could  go WRONG!!!!!!!!!!
